Meet the Speaker Shaping PULSE 2026: Mr. Shashank Goenka, India

Meet Shashank Goenka at PULSE 2026, where Finnish pedagogy meets the Indian context. Join us for a thought-provoking conversation on learning and culture.

MEET THE SPEAKER

You can import a curriculum. You can adopt a pedagogy. But can you import an entire way of learning?

The harder challenge begins when a global education philosophy meets a different culture, community and generation of learners.

This is the space Mr. Shashank Goenka has been navigating through his work at Finland International School (FIS).

Meet Mr. Shashank Goenka

Founder & Managing Director · Finland International School (FIS)
Education Leader · Entrepreneur · India

Shashank has been instrumental in building an education model that brings together Finnish pedagogy, internationally recognised academic pathways and holistic development.

His philosophy goes beyond preparing students for examinations or university. He believes education should cultivate curiosity, independent thinking, creativity, collaboration and resilience, alongside strong academic foundations, character and well-being.

When Pedagogy Meets Place

For Shashank, educational philosophy cannot exist in isolation from the environment in which it is experienced.

He sees learning spaces as an active part of the learning process- from flexible classrooms and collaborative areas to creative, technology-enabled spaces, sports facilities and outdoor environments.

The underlying idea is simple, but significant:

If we want children to learn differently, should we not also think differently about the places in which they learn?

What Shashank Brings to PULSE 2026

At PULSE 2026 | Where Culture Meets Learning, Shashank brings a perspective shaped by the meeting point of global thinking and local context.

His conversation will explore what it takes to translate an educational philosophy across cultures- and how pedagogy, learning environments and context can work together to create an experience that is meaningful for the learners it serves.

For educators, school leaders and designers, it opens up a bigger question:

Can we borrow the principles behind great education without simply importing the model?

Questions Worth Carrying Into the Room

What should we borrow from global education- and what must we make our own?

How much does context shape the way a pedagogy succeeds?

And what role should the learning environment play in bringing that philosophy to life?

These are the questions Shashank Goenka brings to PULSE 2026- and the conversation is one we’re excited to have.
