For nearly three decades, Vinesh Menon has worked across the many layers of Indian education- building schools, engaging with policy, working with government systems and bringing education stakeholders into meaningful dialogue.
His experience offers a perspective shaped not by one kind of school or one educational context, but by the breadth and diversity of the Indian K–12 landscape.
Vinesh Menon
Vinesh currently works across multiple roles as an advisory CEO, mentor, strategic advisor and knowledge-sharing resource for education networks.
His professional journey includes leadership roles with organisations such as Global Discovery Schools, AMPERSAND and VIBGYOR. At Global Discovery Schools, he was involved in establishing K–12 schools across Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities in India.
As Group CEO of AMPERSAND, he worked with the government school and Anganwadi ecosystem, with a focus on transformation, impact outcomes and contributing to the Human Development Index of Indian states.
His most recent assignment was with ARISE, a collective body of progressive school owners, where he served as its first Director General & Chief Executive Officer.
There, his work brought together conversations across academia, industry and government, with an emphasis on productive disruption within the K–12 ecosystem.
Education Beyond the School Building
Vinesh’s work offers an important reminder: improving learning environments is not only about what happens inside a school.
It is also about the systems, leadership, policies, communities and contexts that determine how schools are created, supported and experienced.
Having worked across both public and private education, from emerging cities to large education networks, Vinesh brings a view of K–12 that is grounded in the realities of implementation as much as in the possibilities of change.
His continuing engagement with pre-school, Anganwadi and school education further connects different stages of the learner’s journey.
