Helen Caroline Bowen
With 25 years in education across 10 countries, Helen Caroline Bowen brings a distinctly international perspective to school leadership.
Her journey spans the UK, Africa and Asia, with leadership and school-development experience across diverse educational contexts, including China, Mongolia, Turkey, Togo and India. She has worked across IGCSE, A Levels, IB MYP and IB DP, giving her a broad understanding of how different curricula and cultures shape the student experience.
Today, as Head of School at King’s College India, Rohtak, Helen brings that experience into a school community navigating the possibilities and challenges of contemporary education.
Beyond the Curriculum
For Helen, education extends beyond academic outcomes.
Her work is strongly connected to student voice, safeguarding, wellbeing, educational equity and wider-world understanding – areas that increasingly influence how schools think about the whole learner.
Her founding of the Model Peace Summit for international students reflects this wider approach: creating opportunities for young people to engage with dialogue, perspective and the world beyond their immediate surroundings.
