His work has gained international recognition, most notably through Redhill Early Learning Centre in Johannesburg, which received the World Architecture Festival Award for Best Use of Natural Light and Architizer’s Best Kindergarten Award.

From Classroom to Mini-City
What happens when a school is designed as a place for discovery rather than simply instruction?
At Redhill Early Learning Centre, Hubo Studio explores this idea through spaces that encourage movement, interaction and independent discovery.
Projects including The Yards and The Studios at King David Linksfield continue this exploration, questioning the boundaries of the traditional classroom and creating environments where learning, movement and community can overlap.
For Asher, feelings can become a design tool. His approach to co-designed schools brings children, educators and designers into the process- opening up new possibilities for how schools can be imagined.
